Syntropise · Introductions
A table set for two on the shore of an Alpine lake, beside a pyramid-shaped rock
We think you should meet someone.
He’ll ask whether you’d live this exact life again. Forever.
A year of philosophy, one remarkable introduction at a time.
The introduction
Some conversations last for years.
Ideas you’ve never come across. Questions you’ve never thought to ask. A book you’ll end up pressing on someone else.
That’s what happens when you make philosophy part of your life. We do the introductions; you decide where the conversation goes.
Other tables
Places are set for twelve tonight.
Each place card is a sticker from the members’ album. Pick a guest. The other forty-eight are waiting for you.
The people making the introductions
We know some interesting people.
We’ve spent years getting to know their ideas. Now we’d like to introduce you.
Over a year, we get to know you too: what interests you, what you believe, what you’re curious about. Sometimes you’ll bring a question. Sometimes we’ll bring someone we think you’ll enjoy.
We won’t tell you what to think. We’ll introduce you to people who disagree with each other, and with us.
There’s always someone else worth meeting.

Tell us what’s on your mind, or what you’ve been reading. The first conversation costs nothing, and you don’t need to prepare a thing.
